Three events in one day is a difficult task for any event planner, but three events in three SEPARATE cities is unheard of! Big Machine Label Group and Thomas Rhett decided to promote his new album Life Changes with three different listening parties in Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Randi Events was up for the challenge- we handled all of the logistics and fan activation for the event! First up was Boston, then Thomas Rhett hopped a jet and flew to Philadelphia for show #2, and lastly he finished his three city concert series in Chicago. Designing an event in three cities was not the only obstacle we faced – we also had to plan the entire event without visiting the venue first. Reviewing the floor plans and developing a solid, trusting relationship with each venue’s management staff was key. With the growing popularity of Nashville, we were so proud and honored to represent the capital of country music, Big Machine Label Group, and Thomas Rhett on a national level!

We love doing all types of events in and around downtown Nashville, but we’re in Music City, USA after all, so the music industry parties hold a special place in our hearts! We were honored last weekend to plan a multi-day event for Sony Music to celebrate the release of country superstar Brad Paisley’s new album, “Love and War”. Radio personalities from 30 outlets across the country came to Nashville to be a part of the occasion, and we were there every step of the way. The weekend started off with a special event at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in the heart of downtown. Guests had a private viewing of the “Brad Paisley: Diary of a Player” exhibit that tells the story of a prodigy turned superstar through never-before-seen drawings and illustrations from Paisley’s childhood, alongside a collection of instruments, performance clothing, awards, and mementos from his life and career. Everyone then proceeded downstairs to the CMA Ford Theater for an early screening of the Love and War Visual Album, a compilation of music videos for every song off the new record. Brad spoke, welcoming guests, thanking them for celebrating with him, and announcing a surprise pop-up show that evening at the World-Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in the heart of the Broadway strip. The crowd headed upstairs to the famous Hall of Fame rotunda for dinner, sponsored by Sarah Cannon and Band Against Cancer. The rain couldn’t stop this celebration, and once dinner was over, everyone boarded the buses to head to Tootsies. The special concert was also announced on social media, inviting Brad’s biggest fans to join in, and soon the intimate iconic venue was packed. But the surprises weren’t over yet – Brad invited music legend John Fogerty on stage to join him in singing current and old classics. Even hip hop producer Timbaland, who is also featured on the Love and War album made an appearance. It was truly a once in a lifetime musical experience for everyone inside the bar.  The high from the night continued the next morning when the radio personalities returned to the Country Music Hall of Fame for a live radio remote broadcast. Each outlet got a chance to talk to Brad about the new record, the pop-up show the night before and all things Love and War. It was a busy few days, but we couldn’t have been happier with how it all turned out. Congrats to Brad and the whole Sony team, we loved working with you!

The Academy of Country Music Awards are one of the highlights of the year for the Country community. Fans, artists and radio personalities take over Las Vegas to celebrate another fabulous year of great music, incredible songwriters, show-stopping tours and storytelling music videos. This year’s show promised to be something special, and we were thrilled to be along for the ride. Our involvement with the ACMs this time around was the biggest in Randi Events history, with 5 events throughout the weekend. CEO Randi Lesnick and our team flew to Vegas to make the impossible possible in the party capital of the world.

It all started with a party for Big Machine Label Groups’ own Thomas Rhett, one of the newest spokespersons for the General Mills organization, Outnumber Hunger. The radio remote and private performance went off without a hitch – it was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Our crew spent the next few days getting ready for the big event, Sunday’s awards, walking through venues to make sure everything was ready to go. Load-ins started across the city as our great partner vendors got to work bringing our designer’s plans to life.

The first event on Sunday was a pre-show party for aviation mogul CESSNA, backstage at the TMobile arena. Blue couches and lighting and beautiful draping provided the perfect setting for staff to mix and mingle before the awards began. The highlight of the event was the Big Machine artists who stopped by to say hello.

Once the Awards show let out it was time for us to really do our thing. Thousands of show attendees flocked to after parties, and we threw two of the biggest ones. Sony Music Nashville artists, staff and friends headed to the HYDE lounge in the TMobile arena, where we partnered with Hostess Snacks to create a delicious and creative display of their best products. The folks from Big Machine Label Group enjoyed their own party with food, drink, and music at Sake Rok on the Vegas strip. Everyone had a great time celebrating the night’s winners and looking back on a stellar year.

Of all the events we do for the music industry, the annual Warner Wednesday party for Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is one of our favorites. This year’s celebration at the Rosewall in downtown Nashville was no exception. Radio personalities flew in from all over the country to enjoy a private dinner and evening celebration with the artists and staff of the Warner Music Nashville label. The meal held in the Moto restaurant next door to the venue had a black and gold color scheme. The seafoam chargers, intricate sparkly linen and custom menus, and place cards were the picture of elegance and style. Back in the main space, the 60’s rat pat inspired theme was a nod to the mod style. Custom gobos washed the walls in similar patterns, allowing the metallic elements around the room to pop. There were multiple sections of soft seating, sporting pieces with straight edges, clean lines, and a modern, masculine feel. House music pumped through the space as people mixed and mingled over cocktails and a dessert assortment featuring macaroons, donuts, smores, and caramel popcorn. Branded backdrops, simple florals, and a photo booth provided plenty to do and see at during the night, and everyone had a fabulous time. We had so much fun putting this event on and can’t wait to do it again next year.

We had so much fun planning the iHeartMedia summit in conjunction with Warner Music Nashville and Sony. We kept it casual, but fun, with upscale-bar snacks and desserts, while both labels introduced their newest talent!

Warner’s showcase consisted of a high-energy performance by “High Valley.” Nashville’s darling and 2016-Grammy nominee, Brandy Clark, wrapped it up with performances from her upcoming album!

After a quick set change, Sony’s artists were ready to rock! We gave a special tribute to one of the guys of “LANco,” who used to work at a hotdog stand, by bringing in a local vendor to serve some of the best “dogs” in Nashville.  Maren Morris ended the evening with a jaw-dropping performance!

Event Name: Ole CMA Viewing Party

What better way to watch the 49^th CMA Awards show than to be a guest at Ole’s Private Viewing Party at The Cordelle.  We threw a fabulous event for 150 of the most experienced industry professionals who focus on all the creative development of the music that won many awards this year. Keeping with the theme of their red, white and black logo we wanted to pull together what Sarah Ann referred to as “Swanky Industrial” meaning a mesh of Old Hollywood glamour meets Southern Gothic Revival.

The Cordelle was dressed in string lights and flower planks hanging over the guests as they wined and dined watching the CMA’s. The menu was one for the books! We wanted our guests to feel like they were eating at home, so we treated everyone with gourmet TV dinners, a biscuit bar and much more!   The lounge areas were styled to feel like you could curl up and watch TV from your own living room, complete with cozy vintage style black leather couches and chairs with plush, white fur rugs.  The most amazing part of the night was the “JumboTron” style show feed we projected on the wall, it felt like you were at the show!  With all these elements combined, this event was upbeat and fun, no one wanted to leave! Every year when the CMA Post party planning begins, the creative juices start flowing in the Randi Events office. Always trying to top our own events, and surprise our clients, we try and think of new a creative ways to host the infamous CMA after parties.

This year when we met with Big Machine Label Group we wanted to not just have an amazing party, but create an experience for all who attended. This year BMLG hosted a fun filled After Party at Rosewall and turned the space into a Mid Summers Night Dream styled event. Vintage furniture, ficus trees all around, and a very special performance from The Mavericks made it a night to remember.

This year Warner Music Nashville cranked up the eerie vibes and let Randi Events transform their offices into a turn of the century carnival-style event. We were inspired by the feelings of fear and excitement of the unknown, the perfect mix of American Horror Story meets Water for Elephants. As guests arrived they checked-in under wooden hangman posts that held antique lanterns.

Candelabras lined the path from check-in to the “big top”. Black and white ceiling drape romantically cradled the grand chandelier that softly lit the dance floor and spilled down the sides, creating our carnival atmosphere. Funhouse mirrored bars were topped with Patron specialty drinks, while guests enjoyed the look and definitely the taste of our “over the top” food display. To really set the mood we had Tarot Card and Palm Readers looking into guests pasts, presents, and futures.

The conference room was really our out of this world room, complete with a supernatural light tunnel, astrological signs projected behind midnight blue linen adorned food displays and wine-stained sequin linen bistro tables. Chef’s Market knocked our theme outta the park! With a menu that consisted of scrumptious popcorn shrimp, Muenster/Blueberry/Spinach grilled cheese sandwiches, freakishly good focaccia flatbread station, mini maple cotton candy and beignets with chocolate dipping sauce, just to name a few. Is your mouth watering yet??!

Keeping with our theme, we wanted the patio to have a bit of New Orleans flare, think second line. We suspended vintage umbrellas and Edison bulbs above our guests and had bicycle “Ferris”  wheels behind our bars and our DJ who totally amped up the crowd with his killer tunes.

It was so incredible to create an event that zaps all the senses and that’s exactly what we did! Thanks to Warner Music Nashville, we can’t wait for next year!

Rare Country could not have had a better presentation for their local Nashville friends. Utilizing geo mapping for their custom presentations, They hit it out of the park!

Making sure their guests were comfortable and relaxed during the presentation they raised the bar for the standard PowerPoint presentations. Creating artwork on the walls that were interchanging between slides, this is definitely something Labels and Industry individuals alike will be talking about the “Rare” presentations for days to come! Randi events was so proud to be part of this special occasion and wish them all the best with the launch of their wonderful site.

Event Name: Warner Music Pickin’ on the Patio Blowout

Last week we pulled off one heck of a show with the one and only Blake Shelton at Warner Music Nashville. We closed 16^th Avenue in front of their offices and set up shop for one of the best nights ever!

We had everything that makes a concert great: a red hot artist, the best food trucks in town, free admission and did we mention free beer?!  Let’s give props to our awesome food truck vendors that came out and braved the crowds (5000+ guests attended!) Smoke Et Al, The Grilled Cheeserie, Crankees Pizza and Hoss’ Loaded Burgers rocked it! A big thanks to Warner Music Nashville for providing free beer for our 21+ guests. The Warner Music Van was even selling cool t-shirts and all the proceeds benefited the T.J. Martell Foundation! It was one for the books and we couldn’t have had a better time! We’re ready for the next WB event.
