We love August weddings in Nashville! The bride and groom were determined to make their wedding an intimate evening for their guests to remember. After falling in love at Ole Miss, the happy couple chose Nashville to host their dream wedding. They had an elegant rehearsal dinner on the rooftop of Aerial in the heart of downtown Nashville with a gorgeous view of Broadway. The food was great and the view was even better! Their ceremony and reception at Mint Springs Farms was something out of a fairytale. The bride’s love of flowers was evident in the beautiful displays throughout the venue. From floral chandeliers to massive centerpieces, flowers were the perfect touch to a beautiful wedding. Even the cake was decorated with blush roses and white Magnolias! With subtle blush, ivory, and gold tones, the space felt very intimate for all of their guests. The color scheme and aesthetic truly captured the perfect Nashville summer wedding!

This spring soiree at the Cordelle in downtown Nashville was something out of a dream! The personalities of the bride and groom were evident as soon as guests arrived, with custom signage welcoming and inviting them into the space. The ceremony set up took full advantage of the beautiful outdoor venue, with string lights overhead, hanging greenery and pillar candles down the aisle. The floral arch at the altar built just for the couple on their wedding day, and the bride’s vintage, lace, high fashion dress completed the French Garden theme. After the ceremony, the tent set up changed to stunning areas of soft seating, with pops of blush, lavender, and ivory. With a band, dance floor, table rounds and plenty of food and drink inside the historic house, there was something for everyone, indoors and out.  The South Carolina couple chose Music City favorites for the menu, including Nashville Hot Chicken and Moscow Mules. When it came to the groom’s cake however, it was all about the SEC. His unique custom design celebrated his Alma Mater, National Champions, Clemson University. The fun continued with heart-shaped glow-in-the-dark glasses for everyone and a dance-off in the middle of the party. Family and friends had a blast celebrating the happy couple. When it was all said and done, the bride and groom escaped to their honeymoon in Tulum. Congratulations from everyone at Randi Events! We’re so glad you invited us to be a part of your special day!

Our Randi Events blog is full of entries describing our fabulous weddings after they happen. We’ve decided to try something new – bring you updates of the planning process BEFORE the big day! There’s another twist too – we’re teaming up with a groom to do it! The perspective of the fiancé is certainly unique, and we wanted to share his journey with you. This fall, Randy and his bride-to-be, Elianore, will tie the knot. We’re going to keep our blog updated with Randy’s thoughts along the way. Come October, we’ll feature the finished product: their dream wedding!

How did you and your fiancé meet?

It’s kind of crazy how we ended up together. Before we were born, our families were neighbors in Amman, Jordan. My parents moved to the US in 1984, and I was born here in Tennessee. Our families stayed in touch, and eventually, Elianore’s family moved from Jordan to Nashville. Besides occasionally getting together, we didn’t speak very often.

Why did you choose to use a wedding planner?

We know how much is involved in planning a large wedding, and we wanted things to run as smoothly as possible for us on the big day. It’s also helpful for my fiancé to have planners in Nashville because I am not currently local.

How did you find Randi Events?

We decided to search on the Knot for planners in the area. When we found Randi Events, we knew it was a sign, because my name is Randy too! We met with their staff and knew right away that it was a perfect match.

What is your role in the planning process?

I am a hopeless romantic, and I have always looked forward to my wedding. I can’t wait to get married and have my best friend by my side for the rest of my life. I want to be involved in every part of the planning process, from choosing the venue to decorations, to music. I’m a total foodie, and Elianore isn’t, so I’m definitely excited to pick the food.

What are you most looking forward to in the planning process?

I’m excited to see the design boards and renderings of what the venue will look like. I’m sure our designers will come up with great ideas for decorations, color scheme, table settings, and all that. It’s going to be such a fun process!

Do you have a special wedding hashtag?

We have two: #italladdsup and #10plus7equals17. The number 7 has always been lucky for Elianore. When it came time to pick a date, we searched for Saturdays in the fall of 2017 and the only one with a 7 was October 7, 2017. And then we realized 10/7/17…10+7=17, it all adds up! The number has popped up numerous times throughout our wedding process already, and it just feels like a great sign.

Emily and Chris tied the knot on a perfect spring day in downtown Nashville. The Cordelle was a great venue, providing a beautiful backdrop for pictures of the wedding party, a simple but gorgeous outdoor ceremony, and a perfect indoor reception. The bride and groom said their vows in front of family and friends. Custom touches to represent the couple was present throughout the evening. The bride designed and made the floral napkins, and the groom stocked the bar with many of his favorite craft beers. A few brews were even made specifically for the couple by some family members and friends. Their Wisconsin roots were evident in the table set up, as each one was named after a different brand of cheese. Once guests found their seats, they enjoyed a buffet complete with a pasta bar, make your own zoodles station and southern classics including mac and cheese and shrimp. The wedding party took the bride’s love of watching televised Award shows to heart, presenting their toasts in the style of red carpet interviews. Once the party was underway the couple and their guests never left the dancefloor. Congrats to the bride and groom, we wish you lots of love and adventure in your life together!

This sweet couple met serving our country in the armed forces. The bride and groom were put in a special rotation project together and the rest is history! They were married last year but were never able to properly celebrate due to their active military schedule. So when it was time to throw a proper party, we were honored they called Randi Events in to make it happen! Last weekend’s belated reception was the perfect way to celebrate with family and friends. From the venue (Nelson Greenbrier’s Distillery) to the whiskey tasting on-site, to the table numbers made from old whiskey bottles, the groom’s love of the drink was a constant theme throughout the night. The blue and orange color scheme from the couples’ wedding day was incorporated into the décor, and guests got to share in their special moment by viewing the wedding video during the reception. The couple toasted to their new marriage with plenty of food, drinks, and dancing. We thank them for their service and wish them safety and the best of luck in all their future endeavors!

Nashville is known for it’s hot summers, but who knew that a wedding would come from it?! This bride and groom met by the pool in their apartment building. After hitting it off by the water they started dating shortly after. Their intimate wedding at the Cordelle in downtown Nashville was simply beautiful. The chic décor including hundreds of lights and candles, oozing romance throughout the indoor space and the surrounding veranda. The color scheme of burgundy, grey silver and gold went great with the mixed medals on the tables and around the room. The service took place in front of a fabulous string light backdrop, and while guests enjoyed the cocktail area on the porch, the ceremony space was flipped into an elegant reception area. Family and friends dined at long tables in a giant U-shape, which gave the room an open feel. Each place setting had a custom take away: wine glasses branded with the couples’ names and wedding date. With special musical performances thanks to the groom’s job at a country music record label, it was quite the party. A highlight of the night was the massive dessert table, featuring hundreds of specialty donuts from bakeries across Nashville, arranged in a colorful and flavorful display. In lieu of wedding cake toppers, the large donuts in the center were labeled Mr. and Mrs. We wish nothing but the best to the happy couple!

Event Name: Nuss/Dupre Wedding
Event Date: August 29, 2015
Event Designer: Sarah Miller & Grey Boroff
Ceremony: Church of the Assumption
Reception Venue: War Memorial Auditorium

We couldn’t think of a better way to finish out our summer wedding season than the beautiful wedding ceremony and reception of Brandi Nuss and Josh Dupre. The ceremony was held at Church of the Assumption in Historic Germantown here in Nashville. The ceremony backdrop was absolutely incredible- adorned with magnificent architecture. The service was filled with lots of happy tears and special touches. For instance, Brandi’s mom, dad, and big brother “gave her away” and the couple recited handwritten vows and Josh even presented Brandi with a “final red rose” after one of their favorite shows, The Bachelor (she accepted)!

After the ceremony, it was time to par-tay! The guests were taken via trolley to the reception where they were greeted with refreshing appetizers like caprese tarts and strawberry bruschetta crostini’s! After cocktail hour, guests were welcomed into the reception with champagne cocktails decked out with gold rims! The color scheme was glam to the max- blush tones with gold, gold and more gold and our favorite variation, rose gold. The head table was the focal point of the room. We wanted to add dimension to the table so we used varying vase heights and styles with dazzling ivory, blush and white flowers.

After speeches and first dances it was time to grab some delicious grub and since our groom was from Louisiana we wanted to tie in some Cajun fare, shrimp and grits, anyone??!! Brandi surprised Josh with the coolest groom’s cake, modeled after her sweet little pup Bambi!

Guests danced the night away to and were treated to a special “secret” dance choreographed by the bride and her bridesmaids. Not to be upstaged by Brandi and her girls, Josh whipped some smooth moves out on the dance floor. In true Louisiana fashion, Brandi and Josh exited the reception with a traditional Second Line March complete with black and white umbrellas and guest waving paper napkins. We sent the couple off with well wishes and illuminated the night sky with glow in the dark balloons!

Brandi and Josh were an absolute treat to work with and we wish them all of the happiness in the world.

Xoxo

When two of your favorite clients have a child that is getting married, then the next step naturally is to plan the wedding for him and his future Mrs.! This is what led us to plan the wonderful union of Meg Williams and Andy Kelly at The Cordelle in Nashville!

From the start, when they met in middle school, these two were lovebirds! They were best friends that shared laughs and days filled with fun! When they both returned to Nashville after college they realized they may be more than “just friends” and a beautiful relationship was formed! The wedding took place on an August 22nd and the outside garden area was set for drinks, fun, and don’t forget a Characteristic to capture all the guests’ smiling faces. The décor was romantic and light, just like the couple. Blush accents were utilized in the florals and drape, but what would a wedding be without a little bit of bling! The linens that were used on the guests’ tables brought in just the right amount of gold glitz to make this day really sparkle! Eric Blue rocked the night away, with a guest appearance from our very own bride, Meg Kelly! When the lights came up and the couple left, they were swept away in a vintage Rolls Royce! A perfect night, for a perfect couple!

Venue: Hillwood Country Club

Event Designer: Sarah Ann Miller

A perfect end to summer was the wedding of Carrie Carrol and Bruce Sprintz. They could not have asked for a better day or better weather! Cool, crisp, air and blue skies made their outdoor ceremony just perfect!

The chuppah, that overlooked the Hillwood Country Club Golf Course was adorned with lavish pink florals and crystal chandeliers. The ceremony was full of personal touches like guests reading blessings, and the couple writing and reciting their own vows, followed by the signing of the Ketubah. With tears in their eyes from such a special ceremony, guests walked into cocktail hour and were blown away by the elaborate pink ombre floral arrangements that were and various shapes and sizes.  The twinkle of the crystal chandeliers and crystal accents were striking as family and friends walked into the reception space. Carrie wanted to make sure that her wedding was nothing like anyone had ever seen before, and that is exactly what it was! The Pat Patrick Show Band played the couple’s first dance. Keeping up with traditions, the couple did the Horah, and danced the night away until closing time when wait staff passed vintage glass Pepsi bottles and mini cheeseburgers around to all guests! Leaving through a sea of sparklers, Carrie and Bruce lit up the September night with light and love!
