Each December, The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) hold their annual holiday party here in Nashville, Tennessee. The event includes a raffle with luxurious prizes and fun gifts for everyone.

This year- we went with a “Great Gatsby” theme, which let’s be honest- it’s the best theme ever! The event was held at the Cannery Ballroom- a perfect fit for the crowd. The design featured a jaw dropping, feather chandelier at the gold draped, grand entrance. The black and gold sequin linens were the perfect touch to tie in The Great Gatsby theme- very Art DecoJ The guests dined on a custom menu from G-Catering which featured a prohibition themed ice cream bar complete with alcohol infused ice cream, can you say yummy!? Throughout the night, the guests were able to play blackjack, roulette and even Texas hold em’. The night was a success and we cannot wait to work with the TSCPA crew in the future. 🙂

With all the crazy chaos that’s surrounding our world today, we wanted to take a minute, slow down and reflect on the things for which we are truly grateful. I sat down with our entire staff to find out what they’ll be celebrating this Thanksgiving.

Randi: “I’m thankful for our new Randi Events’ office we just purchased on Music Row and my dog Rudy’s clean teeth!”

Allen: “I’m thankful for a great caretaker (Randi) after my surgery and my brand new hip!”

Julia: “I’m thankful for my parents and wine”

Sarah: “I’m thankful for cuddle time with my kids and my husband’s cooking!”

Ellen: “I’m thankful for my family/friends and most all queso and honey mustard!”

Summer: “I’m thankful for my wonderful family, fabulous friends and Joe Walsh in all of his forms and Saint Anejo Margaritas!”

Grey: “I’m thankful that I work with a bunch of talented ladies and that I’ll be in 70 degree weather for the holiday!”

Alexa: “I’m thankful for being able to see all my friends and family this holiday season and especially thankful for the boy who just put a new sparkly ring on my finger!”

Natalie: “I’m thankful that I was raised in a small town with a big heart and champagne, definitely champagne!”

We are most thankful for our amazing clients and vendors and the business we’ve done with each of you this year! We couldn’t love you guys more. 🙂 From our table to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

We had the best time designing this fabulous event at Homestead Manor. It was a picture-perfect setting for a corporate gala. We wanted to mix colors, textures and patterns in this design, we did so by using different types of specialty linen throughout the space.

We paired a linen that was 50 shades of blueJ with a solid burgundy linen and topped them both with gold accents galore! The florals consisted of ivories, greenery and burgundy with touches of navy throughout. The ice gold chargers were flawless on the dinner tables. Now that we’re on the subject of dinner, can we please talk about the deep fried candy bars?! They were AMAZING! Johnny & The Loveseats were the entertainment for the evening- man does he have some pipes! It was truly a great fun filled night! We’re already planning the next event with this corporate client. 🙂

Event Name: Nuss/Dupre Wedding
Event Date: August 29, 2015
Event Designer: Sarah Miller & Grey Boroff
Ceremony: Church of the Assumption
Reception Venue: War Memorial Auditorium

We couldn’t think of a better way to finish out our summer wedding season than the beautiful wedding ceremony and reception of Brandi Nuss and Josh Dupre. The ceremony was held at Church of the Assumption in Historic Germantown here in Nashville. The ceremony backdrop was absolutely incredible- adorned with magnificent architecture. The service was filled with lots of happy tears and special touches. For instance, Brandi’s mom, dad, and big brother “gave her away” and the couple recited handwritten vows and Josh even presented Brandi with a “final red rose” after one of their favorite shows, The Bachelor (she accepted)!

After the ceremony, it was time to par-tay! The guests were taken via trolley to the reception where they were greeted with refreshing appetizers like caprese tarts and strawberry bruschetta crostini’s! After cocktail hour, guests were welcomed into the reception with champagne cocktails decked out with gold rims! The color scheme was glam to the max- blush tones with gold, gold and more gold and our favorite variation, rose gold. The head table was the focal point of the room. We wanted to add dimension to the table so we used varying vase heights and styles with dazzling ivory, blush and white flowers.

After speeches and first dances it was time to grab some delicious grub and since our groom was from Louisiana we wanted to tie in some Cajun fare, shrimp and grits, anyone??!! Brandi surprised Josh with the coolest groom’s cake, modeled after her sweet little pup Bambi!

Guests danced the night away to and were treated to a special “secret” dance choreographed by the bride and her bridesmaids. Not to be upstaged by Brandi and her girls, Josh whipped some smooth moves out on the dance floor. In true Louisiana fashion, Brandi and Josh exited the reception with a traditional Second Line March complete with black and white umbrellas and guest waving paper napkins. We sent the couple off with well wishes and illuminated the night sky with glow in the dark balloons!

Brandi and Josh were an absolute treat to work with and we wish them all of the happiness in the world.

Xoxo

Event: Taryn & Nathaniel Edman

Event Date: July 18th, 2015

Venue: aVenue

Event Designer: Grey Boroff

We are just obsessing over Taryn & Nathaniel’s wedding at aVenue. Grey had a delightful time planning and designing their lovely wedding this July!

The couple was absolutely amazing to work with- we cannot say enough sweet things about them! The design was simple, elegant and full of lovely chic details that made the wedding perfect. Both the ceremony and reception were held at aVenue.

The color palette was the perfect combination and helped keep the design simple yet stylish. The couple wanted a romantic vibe, and we gave them just that! Ivory drape was used to soften the room and shades of pink were also incorporated. The centerpieces were filled with peonies, dahlias, astilbe, and other summer flowers. The tables were filled with mercury glass and romantic candles- really setting the mood for a beautiful evening! To add dimension to the tables, we tied in a light Gray patterned napkin from LaTavola Linen.

The stage had beautiful string lights cascading down on the brick wall on the stage which created a beautiful photo backdrop for the ceremony. The lights were also the perfect backdrop for the caricature artist. He created custom favors for Taryn & Nathaniel’s guests. What a great idea! Taryn and Nathaniel were over the moon about their wedding night, as were we! We wish them a lifetime of happiness and lots of love!

Xoxo
